I worked here while I was job hunting after college and the members were allowed to verbally abuse the staff on a regular basis. I'm not saying all members took advantage of that little "perk," but there was certainly a regular flow of entitlement and degradation. One time, while I was comforting a sobbing employee over something a member had said to her, I asked our manager very pointedly if the members were allowed to speak to staff like that. Management's response was, "Of course, they're members. They made me cry too when I first got here." Luckily I wasn't there for long (the members who openly made fun of my college degree allegedly amounting to nothing will be glad to hear that, I'm sure) but think twice about the type of business and community you're supporting when you come here. It's just plain WRONG.

There’s something very nostalgic about this golf course and I love it. It’s easy to get excited about playing a MacKenzie course but once you get there you get a greater appreciation for how this course was built and the inspiration that went into Augusta. He uses the land amazingly and doesn't try and make it terribly difficult for newer golfers, but the greens and bunker positions are what can kill you on this course. But have fun because this is the only golf course that almost makes you feel like you’re in a different time.

The clubhouse is just lovely. We attended a rehearsal dinner held here and it couldn’t have gone better. The staff was so professional. The grounds were absolutely beautiful. There were many good photo ops, even a swing to take pictures in.

It is a beautiful and challenging course. The front 9 probably to warm you up but the back 9 definitely a challenge for every single hole. Tricky and character, you have to plan tour hot before teeing off as you will get into the trap and sand bunker easily. Putting still manageable except on hole 18 par 3, you better put close to the pin as it will easily roll out of green! It was a fun but tired after 18 holes !
