Links style golf course that reminded me of courses in Scotland and Ireland. Course was well maintained and the greens were true, but a little slow

I played the Ocean Course, and it’s one of the most beautiful links courses ever! The fairways and greens are pretty wide, and the course is nicely designed. It looks like the greens were punched a few days ago, and some bunkers hadn’t fully drained after the storm, so I couldn’t fully enjoy the round. Still, this is a must-play course—it really gave me the feeling of being in Scotland. Since the course was undergoing aerification, there was a discounted green fee. I only paid $120 for a Saturday 12 PM tee time.

Half Moon Bay Golf Links is easily one of the most beautiful courses I’ve ever played. The Ocean Course, in particular, has incredible coastal views, making it the most scenic of the two. The wind can definitely be a challenge, but it adds to the experience. If you’re up for playing both courses in one day, they offer half off the green fee for the second round, which is a great deal. Overall, an amazing place to play!

Course was beautiful overall but the marshalls did not manage the pace of play well. Additionally, greens were recently aerated which made putting considerably more difficult. I don't think it's reasonable to be paying full price when the overall experience was adversely affected by said greens. Would call ahead and confirm status of the greens, otherwise would not recommend this course if you're looking to score well.

What an amazing opportunity to play a great links course for under $200. Actually, played both courses on July 8th, 2024 for $265 the same day. The course conditions were excellent. The greens running about a 10, the tee boxes, fairways, bunkers and rough all in great condition. Great staff, and fast play at just over 4 hours on the ocean course teeing off at 10:30am. Old course was not busy at all and played that in just under 4 hours. Two completely different courses, Ocean course is the favorite because the links layout, conditions and amazing views..
