Came here without a reservation on a Monday around 2pm and I was able to get a tee time at 3pm. The app makes finding a spot as a single very easy. The staff is knowledgeable and nice and will help you get out. It’s expensive for out of state golfers but worth it. The course is pristine and some really great views. The layout is good but nothing crazy. The north wasn’t too hard but had some great views of the ocean. Definitely come if in the area. Good for all levels of golfers.

Very nice course with beautiful views of the ocean. This place also had the thickest grass I've ever seen in my life. The grass was so thick I lost balls in the rough even when I knew where I hit them. Beware the "Marine Layer", it tends to cause a bit of wind and chilly temperatures. Bring layers to take on/off.

What a tranquil place!!!! The place is beautiful and worth stopping for a look around even if you are not a golfer. There are several walkable trails around the property that give your picturesque views of the Pacific Ocean and the San Diego skyline.

We went to the Farmers Open yesterday and saw the pros on the north and south course. The greens were in immaculate condition and the fairways were beautifully manicured. We arrived first thing in the morning and watch players tee off on the north course. We followed a couple groups around, hit the iconic holes, and then made our way back to the lodge for a lunch and drinks. We hit the Tito’s tent outside the lodge and grabbed wraps and cocktails. The drinks were strong and the wraps were filling. We then proceeded to the south course to follow the leaders and find the fun cocktail tents. It was quite the scene. In the afternoon the winds picked up and they had to pause play because the winds got too strong. We hunkered down in a cocktail bar to wait for play to resume but we had to leave by the time it was ready to restart.

Torrey offers a beautiful golfing experience. Book your tee time well in advance but it’s worth the green fee all things considered. What could they do better? Compared to other courses in SoCal, Torrey makes you pay (and pay big) for any extras. No water re-fills (often at similar green fee costs, free bottles come with the cart or they’ll at least fill your bottle - not the case here), a bag of chips and a Gatorade at the turn was $12, a hot dog was about $13. While it’s worth the visit for the views and course condition, don’t expect first class treatment.
