I used to play Houston Oaks when the course opened in 96. I walked the course with a carry bag, so I was usually exhausted after I finished 18 holes on a Summer day. The pro that managed the course was very considerate permitting me to walk the layout. I told him I would not slow down the pace of play, and I always allowed riders to play through. The seventh hole is one of the most scenic par 3s I've played in Kentucky. I highly recommend Houston Oaks to any golfer traveling through central Kentucky. After Paris Pike was widened, the drive to the course from Lexington was much safer, and the rolling countryside views are still worth the travel. Skilled golfers will appreciate the layout, and the superintendent usually has the greens in immaculate condition...✌️👍🏌️

I am from out of state found this course online as being a top rated course and it didn't disappoint at all. Nice enjoyable and playable course. Dont let the wide open look fool you, there is just enough trouble around to make the course a challenge but not too bad that makes you frustrated. Had too much that I didn't get a lot of pictures.
