Gold Canyon Golf Course

Played both courses. Had a great time, staff was amazing.. sidewinder was a good course but doesn't compare to dinosaurs mountain.

The course is good, you are paying for reliable greens and views. That’s really all it offered for me, there was a lot of shooting down, some up shots on the terrain, which is good. But that’s it. I’m a 21 handicap and I was able to find the fairway on 17/18 holes. I don’t know what I was expecting for $300 but more. I’ve golfed in Hawaii, British Columbia Canada, Thailand, Texas, Las Vegas, Seattle, Mexico, England, and Spain, and generally would see more interesting tee shots, dog legs, or really anything. Dinosaur mountain offered nothing other than cliffs and patches of desert to avoid. With varying elevation. So the same as every other course I’ve played in Arizona with slightly better views. This course did not offer a lot “value for dollar” which I just expect at this price. I would say I got the same experience here as I did at foothills country club as far as service. If foothills had better greens and better fairways they would be neck and neck as far as terrain and views.

What an amazing track. Made a last minute change from Eagle Mountain to Dinosaur Mountain course and wow, so happy we did. The elevation changes, layout of the course through the desert, and wonderful condition of the course, couldn't ask for more. Oner of the most scenic courses I've ever played. Course isn't long, but from the gold tees, plenty of room to air it out 260-280. Fairways look tighter than they are from the tees, plenty of landing room. Greens are fast and roll very well. Great course!!

I had the pleasure of playing Dinosaur Mountain on Thanksgiving morning. From the moment I stepped out of my Uber the staff was awesome. Katie checked me in and helped pick out the perfect hat for my son. The starter who lives on the course gave us some great local knowledge that came in handy! I can’t forget the Beverage Cart for making us some great drinks. The course was in excellent condition from tee to green. We played in 3.5 hrs with cart path only which was amazing. If you’re in the Phoenix or Scottsdale area go see Katie and get Dinosaur Mountain on your list! Thank you for a great day.

Awesome course. It was 110° and I still had a blast. Cool elevations, good mix of wide and narrow fairways, and INCREDIBLE VIEWS. Everyone there, from the pro shop to groundskeepers, was incredibly nice and welcoming. Very easy 30-40 min drive from Downtown Scottsdale. Can’t wait to come back!
