Really cool course. Lots of desert crossings so you have to plan your shots accordingly. Visually interesting course! Quick greens and challenging depending on the pin location. Plays fair, but definitely not a beginner course. I'd put this in my top 10 for Arizona courses!

Edit: October 27, 2024 Parents Weekend at U of A, was a glorious one made even better getting to play Dove Mountain for the 5th time in 14 months. Listen, I'm not a fortune 500 CEO but I've played some real nice Public and Private Courses in Southern Arizona, Central & South Florida, Myrtle, Metro Chicago, Cincinnati & Wisconsin, and.ive never enjoyed golf like i have at Dove Mountain. Conditions were lush and green after overseer and greens rolling fast and smooth. It's forgiving off the tee but loaded with bunkers. Shots require thought and players who are having a bad short game/putting day will be punished. The views are majestic. The air is clean. The only noise is wildlife. Shit even the drive up to Dove Mountain is an experience. Staff is very warm and accommodating and treat walk up guests like me no different than members. GM Matt Nuechterlein and staff are running a top notch operation. I'm just happy that my son is a sophomore, and i'm gonna get more chances to play this amazing course. Edit August 21, 2024. For any passionate golfer, the Golf Club at Dove Mountain is an extraordinary experience. Challenging approaches..amazing scenery and greens that move. I came 2 inches from my first hole in one on #4 Wild Burro from 178 with the Greenkeeper looking on and played the best golf of my life on Tortalita by firing a 40 with one double. As long as my kid is at the university of arizona, I will make sure to play this at least 2-3 times a year Edit. May 1, 2024. Member got me on for $155. This may be the finest public course in the state. 5 star conditions especially the greens. Great staff. Real shame PGA left here. Edit: Played here Thanksgiving Day. Such an amazing course. Majestic views that rivals almost any course in Southern Arizona. Conditions were tip top. Staff is always very courteous and professional to even a single golfer like me who isn't a Member. This is 5 star golf and a better value than 5 star courses in PHX METRO. My kid is a freshman at U of A and I will play this course every chance I get. Greens are insane unfair but it's worth it. Extraordinary design and breathtaking views. Are the greens ridiculous and unfair? Probably but it didnt bother me. Ill be back. Friendly staff and loved the 6am tee time

Fantastic round today at Dove Mt. Played Tortolita and Saguaro nines. Both were in awesome shape, the greens were absolute perfection, and really quick with challenging contours. Course staff was super friendly, helpful, and provided great local knowledge before we began our round. If you're looking for a memorable test of desert golf with beautiful views and impeccable conditions, Dove Mt. is your best bet.

My favorite course in the area, and there is not a close second. Being I am only a few minutes away I sometimes can book the same day and get out as a single. Staff is always friendly and courteous. The course is in pristine condition, played on 11/12. Very challenging and very fair. Greens are rolling nicely and fairways are in great shape. I highly recommend this course if visiting. Say hi to the Javelina's!
