Hi. My name is Steve McIsaac and I try to play as much golf as humanly possible for a man w 4 kids and not getting a divorce. I just Want to put this out there: not only Is this the best course in Michigan; my friend Dan Lynch shot 77 back to back days there in 2024, and i am Wondering if that is pretty good? I would Think that is top 15 Friday/Saturday scores of the summer there. LMK

Our group booked this place 18+ in advance and paid $7k deposit. 24 people. 6 tee times a day needed over 3 days. We told them EXACTLY what we wanted to do and all the tee times. They said we had to wait until we were 12 months to book the tee times. 8 months go by and they email our group leader to book the tee times. He didn’t see the email so they proceed to “book” our tee times for us. They put random groups between our 6 tee times. And the day we wanted to play 36 holes, they booked our last time at 5 pm so we couldn’t even finish in daylight. 12 months in advance we call to switch and they say we can play the 12 hole course. Unbelievably pretentious people. Incompetent people for such a “prestigious” place. Play somewhere else where they know how to book outings. Who books random groups in between a group of 6. Edit: Thanks for your response. While your message appears factual to the outside world and there is some truth and fault on our “leader’s” behalf, we and you know the truth. See the photo. “Tee times WILL be booked” in October. You are saying that we could have emailed you the tee times the day after we made our deposit and had 6 months to do so? That doesn’t make sense. We wanted to give you tee times when we gave the deposit but you said no and that you’d call us back 6 months later IN October (not BY October) Why wouldn’t you take the tee times at the time of deposit if we could have emailed you the next day? That’s a silly policy. “Sorry can’t take the tee time now, just email me tomorrow”. It’s just a shame that you run things like a Mickey Mouse golf operation when you have such fortune of a truly remarkable piece of property. Like we said, 18 years of booking this trip and we never had a problem. As evidenced by the numerous reviews, you guys need some help in running the golf portion of your resort. Many people complaining that you take tee times too late and they can’t finish the round in day light. I’m still shocked that you would put a random group in the #2 slot of our morning round. So first is our group. Then a random 4 some, and then our next 5 tee times. Why not call that random 4 some and ask to change their time by 10 min? Or better yet, when a group gives you $7k, and they need to play 36 holes (not 30) in a day, you book tee times at that time and plan accordingly like every other course in the world. I hope things improve over there for you and all golfers who want to enjoy a bucket list course.

It’s truly incredible for a course of such prestige to have such piss-poor management. We were a group of 24 guys that go on an outing each year. In year 18, we elected to play Arcadia. As you can imagine, we have some experience in putting together a golf outing. We typically stay in Michigan but have played in Indiana, South Carolina, Tennessee amongst other places. We booked and put a $7k deposit in q2 of 2024 for an outing scheduled in September of 2025. Very specific request, play one round on Thursday, 2 rounds on Friday, and one round on Saturday. At the time of booking, they didn’t allow tee time reservations but assured it would be no problem since we were staying on property. The tee times they provided us were not grouped together and had our last group teeing off for the second tee time at 5pm - obviously not allowing for us to finish. We play Ryder cup style with points so it’s important that we can complete rounds. When we brought our concern, their suggestion was to play the new 12 hole course, what a crock. Needless to say we canceled and looked elsewhere after countless attempts at compromise. The most unfortunate part is how condescending and arrogant the staff was to us. Really unfortunate situation for such a great course. Staff has always been a bit pretentious but this was just poorly run and handled.

My husband and I stayed and played both courses to celebrate our anniversary. Of course the golf was incredible and every bit as challenging as I anticipated. But what I wasn't expecting was the high caliber of service throughout our entire stay. From the front desk attendant to the first hole ranger, I was so impressed. I could not have asked for better! Special thanks to Lisa, who took care of us at dinner, as well as Chef Deanna who prepared the best rack of lamb my husband had ever had. You made our experience that much more enjoyable! Thank you again!

I cannot begin to describe how beautiful this course is. Breathtaking. Views on every hole. Lightning fast greens and fairways. Coolest course I have ever played. Staff was nice. And their rooms are great also. If there was a complaint, it was that the pace of play can be slow. Too many bad golfers hitting from the wrong tees. But they did marshall the course well. Gawking at the views can slow you down also. Wow.
