American Dunes Golf Club

I golfed there a few years ago with my son and it was an Honor to play on the course ! The course was amazing and I loved the playing of Taps. I just stopped by the pro shop yesterday and bought myself a new hat and my son a golf shirt. The gentleman in the pro shop was awesome. The entire staff is awesome !!! If you ever get the chance to play the course you have to play it !! Please respond how you enjoyed yourself.

Beautifully designed course; challenging with lots of elevation changes, water hazards, tricky greens and no shortage of sand, hence the name: American Dunes. I had my first hole in one on #12.. this made my inaugural round there memorable and extra special. Definitely putting this course on the rota.

Probably the most fun round of golf I’ve played. Pictures of the course don’t do it justice, really fun course and in immaculate shape for fall golf. Staff was super friendly as well.

If you are an avid golfer, this place needs to be added to your Bucket List. The whole experience from start to finish was amazing. Showing up early to take in the memorial and grab a pre round drink at the CAVU bar is highly advised. The course itself is immaculate and one of the finest in the state if not the country. What really puts this place over the top though is its mission of providing scholarships to the families of fallen and wounded veterans. Behind a great round of golf you are contributing to a worthy cause greater than yourself. This is one of a kind golf experience every golf fan should come and see it for yourself

Played 8/7/24 @ 1:50PM 2HCP Overall: one of a kind golf experience at American Dunes. Immaculate conditioning, fun and challenging design, and a great mission to support veterans. Just the right amount of patriotism, makes you grateful for those who protect our freedom so that we can have the privilege to play this incredible sport. Greens were firm and fast (11.7 on the stimp). The roll true, but aesthetically are a bit beat up late in the season because they get a lot of play. Fairways are PERFECT, fast tightly cut bent. Design rolls through the dunes and forest. It feels a touch man made at times, but Jack still built some great holes, lots of risk reward, a couple blind shots. Service was first class - including Taps played at 13:00, thoughtful staff, prov1 range balls, etc. Highly recommend this course!
