We don't play golf but wanted to visit the state-of-the art King Kamehameha Golf Club on Maui. We were positively surprised that the main building was open to the public. It accommodates a polynesian art collection.

The King Kamehameha Golf Club offers an exclusive experience with breathtaking views of Maui’s central valley and coastline. The Frank Lloyd Wright-designed clubhouse is a stunning architectural highlight, blending luxury with history. The course itself is well-maintained, with challenging greens and strong winds that add to the play. While private, guest play is possible, and the venue also hosts beautiful weddings and events. A must-visit for golf enthusiasts and architecture lovers alike.

Outstanding! The staff was wonderful! Beautiful day on the course. Very very windy, which made for a fun day. It was an absolute pleasure playing here

Private golf on Maui. What a privilege it was to play here. They do allow outside request from the public to player and I would highly recommend trying.
We had a 9am tee time. Beautiful golf shop. Driving range completely empty, and gorgeous. No pressure at all while playing. I honestly think I saw 2 other groups the whole day and one was a twosome. You are not bothered by anyone trying to play in 3.5 hours or play in 5.5 hours.
The course itself is incredibly demanding. There are so many different holes and well designed holes, it sure is a players course. Incredible condition, absolutely immaculate and the greens were PURE. Fast but smooth as a pool table.
WIND. My oh my the wind BLOWS here. We played in windy conditions both days. I am honestly not a great wind player and struggled. We have some incredible shots in the wind though. Hole 17 I hit a 5iron from 140yards dead into a stiff wind. (My 5i goes ~200y)
Hole 18 I hit a 56° sand wedge from 155 yards on a massive downwind. (My SW goes ~95y)
So anyway, the wind sounds fun, and it was; but any miss could be hugely costly.
The clubhouse is beautiful. Looks like a spaceship from the outside.
Truly a beautiful and super enjoyable experience playing this private club and I am very grateful for the opportunity.

No doubt in my mind what course we would frequent if we were lucky enough to call this beautiful island home. Scenery and landscaping are beyond breathtaking. The course itself has a perfect combination of gorgeous, challenging, AND novice holes. Designed with the wind in mind, and boy does it howl up on the hill here. Highly recommend, and crossing our fingers we get to experience the day we had today again the next time we visit Maui!
