Great golf course had a great time April 13, 2025. The only reason why I am giving a 3 star is my reservation was for 8:50 am and when I entered the pro shop to check in I was told my reservation was for 8:40am (see picture attached of my reservation) I had to rush to catch up with the other two guys I was paired up with and had to miss playing the first two holes. Anyways I guess it was April 13 so the mixup. I would definitely give it a try again but this time I will make sure to bring proof of my reservation time.

Disappointed with my experience this time around. I'll start with the positives. The course is well maintained and in top shape. The practice facility is also one of the best in the county. As for the cons, the prices have gone up significantly since my last time playing. However, my main reason for only giving two stars was the marshall. He was all over us throughout the day. Admittedly, throughout the round we were 15-17 minutes behind pace so I can certainly understand a couple check-ins, however this was over the top, as he stopped to talk with us about 5 times. Some of those times, he would stop his cart very close to us and just stare at us taking our shots before telling us that we were just a little bit behind time and to keep it moving. By the 4th or 5th time I had more than enough of dealing with his passive-aggressive behavior. We ended the round 10 minutes behind pace according to what it said on our cart - not even close to slow enough to warrant all the harassment and intimidation our group had to put up with. Seriously, the marshall was way out of line and it cast a dark cloud over an otherwise fun day golfing with friends. I hope he reads this and reflects on his rudeness and the impact it has on players wanting to return. I certainly won't be back any time soon.

Why keep the fairways closed all of the time. The fairways are closed more than open. Don't give the seasonal grass growing excuse any longer. ALL of your competition in the DMV does just the opposite and this course is no better off than ones that base their decision on the wetness of the fairway, which is appropriate. Be golfer friend and provide real retiree and military respectful rates. The new owners do not care about the golfer, just their profit margin.

Very fun and challenging course with a lot of interesting holes that make you think. Course was in great condition - right up there with the other top public courses in the area.
No drivers allowed on the range is a little annoying but it’s not the end of the world.

Comfortably the best condition public course in the DMV. A joy to play with the fall colors in the backdrop on a beautiful Sunday for golf.
Pros
- Greens are fantastic, they’ll hold a ball and run fast and true
- The layout is enjoyable for folks who don’t boom it off the tee, lots of short par 4s to make you think but there are some challenging holes too - 11 is a tough par 3
- The price point of $79 for a twilight round is great value for the quality of this track. Appreciate the electric carts w/GPS too.
Cons
- Pace of play was slow, took 4h40m & we finished in darkness. Didn’t see a marshal all day; would recommend they do a better job at tee time spacing or have a proactive marshal working weekends.
Overall this is easily one of the best courses in the area, Worthington probably more challenging for a low single digit player but you’d have some fun here even if you are a low handicapper.
