RHR is an awesome course that is affordable and operated by the Town of Castle Rock. It's challenging in spots, and forgiving in others. It's hard to get tee times unless you're planning 3+ weeks out. The clubhouse is wonderful for drinks and food, plus all of the staff are super friendly and helpful.

Nice course but it suffers from being very short. The front 9 was primarily shorter par 4 club down holes. The fairways on some holes are comically wide. I heard and saw that they are extending tee boxes on some holes but I don't think it'll improve distance a whole lot since it's at 6,500 ft elevation and the course has a lot of elevation drops. On that note, the back 9 was pretty cool with a more diverse layout with a lot of panoramas of the Front Range. The course is kept in good condition as well. It's simply a long iron fest off the tees for longer hitters

New to the Red Hawk Ridge Golf Course. Son is new to the sport, took a 3 day 1-hr clinic and enjoyed himself. Instructors were engaging and kind. Their driving range is beautiful. Would love to try the course in the evening.

Great course. Went out early for a 9-hole play and didn’t run into one other group. Nice manicured Tee boxes and greens,

Nice golf course near Denver! The clubhouse has great burgers. The greens and fairway are well taken care of. The rangers seem to be older men who want you to know they exist, ha, but they are generally friendly, if not aggressive at taking up your time to tell you that you're taking too much time. Wasn't terrible, but I'm more accustomed to rangers who are friendly and helpful, not gruff and imposing. The golf carts have GPS which is useful for getting range and an overview of the course, but not useful when trying to drive in a spirited fashion (which is where most of the fun of golf happens). Overall it's a nice place to go outside of Denver to get a mountain feel without being in the mountains. Great views of Castle Rock. Beware of rattlesnakes, both the real ones that the signs warn you about and the fake ones your fellow teammates leave for you to find next to the tee box. So. Much. Fun.
