This is a well maintained and affordable golf course with three 9-hole tracks that make for a fun and variable full round. Less than $40 for 18 holes and $21 for 9 holes.
It's pretty flat for the most part with a few rolling hills. The Desert and Sands and Lakes are very appropriate names for each of these courses. Desert and Sands are long with plenty of bunkers and prairie dog patches with sage brush, while the Lakes course has plenty of water hazards that you WILL find your accuracy off the tee being challenged.
The greens were deceptively slow and the breaks were nothing short of a conundrum in that they appear aggressive, but aren't. Until you're 3 ft from the hole and suddenly the break applies.
If no one is in front of you and you're at least proficient at the game, you can finish 9 holes in about an hour and 15 give or take. I got that on two of my visits, but one visit it took almost 2 hours to get through 6 holes on account of the foursome in front of us being absurdly slow.
Overall I really enjoyed playing several rounds here throughout the week and would happily play here again.

If the course was described (and priced) correctly I might give it a few stars. The owner describes it online as:
"The White Mountain Golf Course is a 27-hole championship course that is one of the best public golf courses in the state of Wyoming."
Which is laughable - It is actually one of the worst maintained courses I have ever played - and this was on July 4th weekend (prime golf season)
Teeboxes were a combination of overgrown or grassless with prairie dog holes and droppings covering them. Fairways are what you would expect for the first cut of rough and the greens are like fairways that roll like cobblestone (and about a 3 on the stimpmeter).
Bunkers were either rock hard sand with actual rocks littered about, swampy messes or so neglected they were growing weeds.
Seriously, most muni executive courses geared towards beginners have vastly better maintenance.
The course could be ok (keyword being "okay") if they actually knew how to maintain it but it is a train wreck.
"One of the best public courses in Wyoming" ??? 😂😂🤣🤣🤣

I played the lake course. $20 for 9 holes and a cart. That's so cheap.
The course is in great condition especially the greens.
The ground hog holes other reviewers were talking about are not an issue if you stay in the fairways.
Awesome practice green and they have 2 chipping greens.
Friendly staff and friendly locals.
Loved it.

Eves Restaurant at the golf course offers fine dining with a great drinks menu. The ribeye steak was salt encrusted and perfectly cooked. And massive. It was 19 ounces and I ate about 10.
