How can you be upset playing with this kind of view? The course is well maintained and such a treat to play. It’s a shame that there are no PGA events or majors in the line up in the near future, their loss unfortunately.

I had the chance to sneak on as a single during a business trip to Seattle, and playing Chambers Bay was absolutely worth it. This is a truly unique piece of property—carved out of an old sand and gravel pit, it offers a dramatic and beautiful setting unlike most other courses in the Pacific Northwest. Being from Chicago, I’ve never played anything like it. The course is a fantastic test of golf that forces you to think your way around every hole. It’s not just about hitting fairways and greens—you really have to manage angles, slopes, and the ever-present wind coming off the Puget Sound. There’s incredible risk-reward golf throughout, especially on holes like the drivable par 4s and the long par 5s where strategy is everything. It’s the kind of place where every shot matters and no two rounds will play the same. The layout is tough but fair, and the challenge is part of what makes it so fun. Definitely one of the more memorable courses I’ve played, and if you’re anywhere near Seattle/Tacoma with your clubs, it’s a must-play.

Chambers Bay Golf Course is hands down the best public course in Western Washington. The stunning links-style layout, with sweeping views of Puget Sound and the Olympic Mountains, creates an unforgettable golfing experience. Whether you’re a seasoned golfer or a beginner, Chambers Bay delivers an exceptional experience that keeps you coming back. It’s a must-play for anyone in the area!

A beautiful place but keep your valuables out of site in your trunk. They have security but I didn't see him had someone follow me in parking lot. Still a great place to go and walk been here several times that was a strange day

Chambers Bay is a truly iconic golf course. I have walked St Andrews in Scotland, I have been on exotic golf courses in the mountains, by oceans, deep in the desert, and everything you can imagine. This place feels like it found a way to bottle all of those feelings up into one single stunning course. It is a links style course nestled up alongside the sound. The bunkers are vast, sprawling bodies that remind me of the times I played golf deep into the California desert. With elevated tee shots, hard firm fairways, and multicolored greens, you WILL be tested here. Lest we forget Dustin Johnson's famous 3 putt to lose first place of the US Open. This place is challenging enough to where you will WISH you had his bad luck. :) Overall, this place feels like a PNW version of something you would see in the cliffs of Scotland. There's a reason why its so hard to get a tee time out here. So get out here if you can, you wont regret it.
