It’s a very nice course but the management is terrible. The conditions of the course are awful and they aren’t putting the resources to solve it. The tee boxes are full of divots, the rough is basically all dirt and very few grass, the grass in the fairways is so dry that it’s starting to die. The price it’s insane and for that amount of money the course should be in a better shape. It’s so disappointing.

The course is extremely nice. Even though there had been some rain the course was in great shape. Beautiful views of the river from all over the course. Since it’s on the river the course is fairly flat with not a lot of elevation change (there are some rolling hill areas) but the layout is such that it makes for some challenging shots with distance control. Definitely one of the flatter course in the area. Not a lot of trees throughout the course so shade is sparse. The layout is challenging but a lot of fun to play. Overall I had an excellent round of golf.

This has got to be one of the best bangs for your buck out there. Classic Pete Dye architecture along the river, with quirky humps and hollows all over the place. Even if your last shot was not any good, your next shot will be fun!

Came here for a golf trip in the middle of August. Very sweet course. We preferred the front 9 vs the back 9. Saturday morning round with a cart rental was $70 so not bad at all. Friendly staff helps with your clubs and loading onto the cart. The restaurant was solid as well and has great prices. Though opens at 11, we had to settle for a bag of chips and jerky as we had a 8 AM tee time and couldn’t eat until after our round was done.

What a wonderful gem tucked away in southwestern Virginia with fabulous views along the New River. Bent grass fairways make you want to hit the fairways even more. There are no trees in play. The bunkering and greens provide plenty of challenges for your round. Oh, and wait until you see the view from the clubhouse.
