We did not feel welcomed here. We are from overseas on a trip. The course design was beautiful but the recent rain damaged the fairways. Greens were good.
The group behind us kept pushing us. Almost hit us twice with their tee shots. We were playing on or ahead of pace. They looked tobe locals or members.

Was meeting a friend at the club. She had moved to Florida and was staying with her sister who lives in the Viniterra community. I had drive. An hour to meet her for lunch. The hostess was almost rude. I told who I was meeting and she very flippantly said , I don't know who that is. I told her I needed to use the rest room because I had been in the car for an hour. She was hesitant about letting me use it. Then I asked about the menu for gluten free items. She said the crab cakes were gf. I said are you sure and she insisted they were. I asked her to check.. they weren't. We ordered the very overpriced, very ordinary Mediterranean board. There were 10 gf crackers on it. And we had to sit outside and it was cold. I will never go there again

My brother and I played here, and it was a great time. The rain tried it's best to challenge us the back nine but everything else was great! We stopped off after the 9th to get food and drinks, and the bartender was awesome. She had a large group come in after we did, so getting slammed had us wait 30 mins unfortunately to eat, but it was alright since that's out of her control. The food I had wasn't great but my brother liked his burger. overall the course was in great shape and mostly playable! It lined like there was a tourney recently with the patch marks all over. A pleasant and challenging course anyone should enjoy!

One of the nicer courses I've ever played, fantastic fairways, great greens....but miserable bunkers, and by miserable I mean extremely difficult (very fluffy, all good things but my gosh). Awesome course all around, a must go to for the Richmond area
Things to be aware of
-Long course, have to be able to hit far
-Don't hit into sand
-Greens are fast
-Don't hit into sand
-Fairways are in excellent shape
-Course design is excellent, constantly making you think about the next shot
-Don't hit into sand

I love this course. The greens, tee boxes and fairways were excellent. The layout is long, you'll get plenty of opportunity for driver and long irons. You can play this course for multiple yardages due to the large assortment of t-box areas. The greens are slippery! May take some getting adjusted to. The course itself is very beautiful in a wooded area in New Kent right behind the New Kent Winery. I found the staff to be very helpful and enthusiastic. Which is such a great change from some other courses. Charlie at the front desk is awesome! Their food assortment is relatively good they do have a beverage cart that roams the course. The driving range is all grass and well laid out. On a side note, the driving range balls are all in good shape and not old and worn out which I appreciate. The only criticism I have is I wish they had a better short game facility. They do have a putting and a chipping green but the chipping green is small and in a confined area.
