Gearhart Golf Links

Such an amazing links style course and rich Scottish sense!

Wow. I was impressed with this course. My wife and I golf a lot, as much as we can really, so we have some experience with courses on the pacific northwest coast. In early March, when we golfed, usually coastal courses are soggy, at least in many places. this was not the case, the course we beautifully maintained and well drained. the layout and design make for a mix of challenges and straight forward playing. It is a highly walkable course, so that's a plus as I would prefer to walk. The bunkers/sand traps are deep, but incredibly well maintained- there are 63 of them across 18 holes. The greens were amazing, not too fast, not to slow and pristine condition. I would say this is a place you must play if you love to golf and are in the area.

I manage and operate a golf course in Oregon and I have played all over the state. I would say that Gearhart Golf Links is very unique golf course and is at the top of my list to play when I have the opportunity. The course design and lay out is very good. But it is the staff that works very hard on course and in the pro shop that make this golf course into an experience over just a round of golf. The golf maintenance team cares about the course and it shows in the conditions. Jason and his team remind me that the golf course experience is about hospitality and the team at Gearhart are a great example of this. I would recommend this course to anyone looking for a great golf experience. I also want to mention Sun, who works as a caddy was great to play my round with and I would definitely recommend him to loop for you if he is available.

Bandon gets all the love and attention. But this is an easy drive from Portland, awesome Links golf, great food and beverage options around the course too. Don’t skip out on the fun putting area on the turn.

My first experience to Gearhart. Truly a magical place! Outstanding customer services- all employees go above and beyond. Best stout beer I’ve tasted in years and they also make awesome shakes. Food was great and rooms very accommodating. Golf was super fun on a true links course. Looking forward to a return trip for sure.
