Pheasant Country Golf Course

Beautiful 18 hole golf couse around Heart River. Not many have found our treasure. Newly renovated! Restaurant open year round, limited hours during winter.

My spouse and I played a round of 9 holes on Sunday, September 1 in the afternoon. We were paired with a local gentleman who took the time on each hole we played to explain how the course had been changed, and some of the course staffing history. His version of the tale reflected turbulence between management and course staff, and how dire the course had become. Some of the reviews on Google from years prior certainly endorsed his perspective. What we found was a course that was in good condition that was reflective of those dedicated to improving whatever poor conditions previously existed. The greens were firm and fast and the fairways were generous. The elevated men's tee box on the 8th hole begged golfers to grip it and rip it with a driver. The golf carts were clean and easy to drive. We found a good pace of play, which was impressive because there was a group of 4 who kept things moving for our group of three. The cost of the round plus cart was more than reasonable. Club house staff was friendly and welcoming; they showed that they were happy to have us there. If I had not been to the other premiere courses in North Dakota I would have assigned 5 stars to this course. Stop off when passing through western North Dakota and see some hard work that deserves recognition in Pheasant Country. Past be damned; they offer quality golf now.

Course totally rebuilt and in perfect condition. GPS on golf carts. Tee Off boxes and fairways immaculate. Excellent friendly staff with a great restaurant and I highly recommend. A bucket list addition for anyone golfing in North Dakota. Great value and price.

Very nice remodel job, Greens were excellent even if my game was not. Brats were good, plenty of parking.
