Wow, what a disappointment. Interesting layout but course condition wasn't even close to being worth the price. Greens covered with leaves, twigs, branches, bunkers not groomed,,clubhouse staff not ready... I understand that it's early season but then don't charge full fees. No on course service or half way house.. Again, I understand it's early season but the price wasn't close to worth it.

Freakin gorgeous. Best place to shoot an engagement by far is the 15th hole. The amazing staff helped set this up and did an amazing job at making this special for the couple I had.

We stayed at one of the two-bedroom private quarters units for five days, mostly to play golf. We clearly picked one of the hottest weeks this year since it was really scorching. The unit itself is nicely kept, clean, and spacious. It will need to be updated one of these years though. The restaurant at the club was fine, though there was only one other couple at the bar area the day we were there around 2:30 pm on a Wednesday. The course design is beautiful with tree lined holes and interesting layout with just enough water to interfere with your shots. We saw a few holes with burnt grass on fairways. The worst experience was at the halfway house. Two women were working there when we made the turn. We ordered bacon, egg and cheese sandwiches. It took them 20 minutes to make and all they had to do was to put the ingredients together which were pre-made. When we got them and bit into them, the English muffin was piping hot, the bacon was half cooked and the eggs were almost frozen cold. We threw them out. And they were $10 apiece. Very disappointing experience.

I can't believe that there is a course like this in the Midwest. I have not seen, or played on, a course like that, that is not located on a coast. This course is the Pebble Beach of the Midwest. I can see now why Jack describes this course as a 10 out of a 10. One of his best layouts. Golfers heaven.
