Earlywine Golf Course

I've been playing the North since it opened in 97, great place to play for any skill level. Dan and the boys go a great job and the new Overlook Cafe is a great place to eat even if you're not playing.

I play this course more than any of the other municipal. I think this course is a good test even with some less than consistent greens keeping. The biggest problem with this course is the pro shop and play management. They might to take note of how Lincoln Park controls play at the first tee as well as marshals on the course. Earlywine seems to let out a lot of fivesomes but has no marshaling to ensure pace of play. Earlywine has the making of a good experience but it needs a change in the management.

They spent $8 million on a new clubhouse, cart barn and range - but not a penny went into improving the courses…and it shows. Below are pics of the crabgrass in the greens. The courses are fine if you just need a place to play, but it’s in bad need of a complete renovation. The course design, green complexes and bunkering are very vanilla. They need to get rid of a ton of trees.

The course Iayout is nice and fun to play 18. The club house is nice and clean. They have a nice range and practice area. The only thing to complain about is the greens. It could be better but still very playable. Enjoyed my time here playing.

This is one of the best courses I’ve ever been to. The newly remodeled clubhouse is very nice and has a restaurant in case you need to get a quick snack. The holes are a pretty good mix of challenge and ease that make them very enjoyable to play, especially with friends. In terms of the driving range, it’s a very good place to come and practice and the new covered driving range will most likely be even better when it’s complete. The golf summer camp here is also a very enjoyable experience if your young (like me) and want to learn a thing or two about golf, my friend and my brother attended the camp with me and that made the already enjoyable experience even better. So to some all this up, whether your young or old this is a great place to play or practice.
