Lightning fast greens. Course was in good shape. Expected a fancier cart for the price. Something with a built in scorecard and distances. Driving Range and putting green was in great condition as well.

Played in middle of August 2024. Layout is incredible. Great views, lots of elevation changes, and routing mixed throughout the forest and countryside. Really doesn’t feel like you’re in Ohio. The layout is a 10/10 and is likely why the course is rated top 100 by Golf Digest. Considering its reputation, I thought the conditions were good, but not immaculate - I’d give it more like a 7 or 8 out of 10. Tee boxes were in great shape, but there was lots of grass clippings in the fairway on certain holes. They keep the course pretty soft. Greens weren’t slow, but weren’t as fast as I would expect for an Art Hills course. The green complexes are awesome, but the greens weren’t firm/fast enough to be able to use the slopes as much as they are probably designed for. Bunkers were groomed, and consistent. The price is good for getting to play a course of this reputation. We did not eat at the restaurant, but it sat on top of the hill, with great views. Menu looked reasonably priced, with lots of good options. Overall probably a 4.5 out of 5. Worth the trip, even though it’s sort of out in the middle of nowhere.

One of the best courses in Ohio! Panoramic views play all day and never see another group hitting towards you! From on course Bev cart to lunch at Halfway house , and dinner @Overlook restaurant . Not just a golf course but a destination place to play! Golf Review : 5*****Stars!!! One of the top courses in Ohio and for good reason. Beautiful multi tiered greens , some of the best fairways in the dog days of summer ! Sand is white and fluffy ! Stay n play houses on site ! 5*****Stars Amazing houses with room for up to 16 players! Overlook Restaurant! 5***** Stars. great food , fun staff , enjoy a beer on the patio and watch the sun set! Clubhouse 3 1/2***• Stars. If you want to step back into 1999 come here as 90% of the building looks the same as when The legendary Dave Longenbeger built the place. Beautiful building and woodworking . Just outdated carpet / chairs / tables / walls/ furniture all needs replaced. Overall 5***** Stars best public place to play in Ohio and a top 100 course in USA.

We were looking for a top course that could be a day trip from Cincinnati and decided the 2.5 hr to Virtues was the winner. To say we had an amazing day is an understatement! As a rider for many public courses, I was pleased to learn there was no additional charge for me to be on the course! My golfer enjoyed the bag of practice balls provided and the great practice facility to warm up on. We will definitely be back to Virtues!

Impeccable in all aspects Beautiful and very challenging! Loved it! Definitely will be back!!!! Played again this year! Exceptional condition of tees, fairways and greens! The greens were lighting fast though and the pin placement seemed like Sunday tournament positions...brutal if you are on wrong side of hole!! The staff was great! Professional and very friendly! Will definitely come back next year!
